Travel tips

Getting there

Driving
Put CF82 7SN into your sat nav. The hotel sits just off the A472 between Ystrad Mynach and Maesycwmmer, around 20–30 minutes from Cardiff or Newport. Leave a little extra time on a Saturday afternoon.
Parking
The hotel has its own car park for guests, so there's no need to find street parking. Car sharing is a good idea if you're coming from the same way as others in the group.
By train
The nearest stations are Ystrad Mynach and Hengoed, both on the Rhymney line from Cardiff Queen Street / Cardiff Central. From either station it's a short taxi ride to the hotel. Check Transport for Wales times.
Taxis
Book your taxi home in advance. Saturday evenings get busy and 5.30pm comes round quickly once the cake is out.

Lucy & the little one

Two little lines, a first scan, and one very happy Lucy. This baby is already so loved, and we couldn't let the big arrival happen without a proper celebration.

So we're putting the kettle on, dressing the tables in pink and gold and gathering everyone who'll be cheering this baby on. Come hungry, bring your best guesses and get ready for a lot of cake.
